Shaving
Some people like shaving the hair off their bodies or having someone else do this for them as part of a sexual scene. The shaving can be just of very intimate parts around the crotch, say, or might involve all parts of the body that are normally covered by outdoor clothing; or it might literally mean every inch of the skin.
The pleasure may be to do with the feel of being shaved, or it may be to do with the visual effect. Some people find a secret thrill in knowing that underneath everyday clothes their body is somehow sexually accentuated by its smoothness. Other people get turned on by being obviously shaven in public environments such as communal showers or beaches. For some people it can act as a reminder of the sexual link with whoever did the shaving.
Be aware that skin that has never been shaved before can itch a very great deal for a couple of weeks afterwards.
There is no risk of HIV transmission unless the skin is cut and then blood or cum get into the wound. The best ways to avoid this are by using disposable razors (once hair that is particularly long has been trimmed with scissors). These should be used only on one person and not shared.
Some people prefer to use traditional barbers' `cut–throat' razors. Nowadays these come with removable disposable blades. It is essential to ensure that each blade is used only on one person and not shared. A great deal of extra care and skill is required with this kind of razor: it is very easy for a novice to cut the skin accidentally. If you intend to use cut–throat razors it is important to learn how to use them by careful practice. For instance, some people suggest that the real test of competence is if you can shave foam off a blown–up balloon without bursting it!
If the skin is accidentally cut, clean the cut with water and antiseptic and make sure that you don't get anyone else's blood or cum inside the wound. Similarly make sure you don't get the blood from the wound inside anyone else's body. Dispose of the blade safely.
